Meet Recap

Summerville Girls Cross Country team finished 16th at the State Championships held at Sandhills research center in Columbia. The girls improved their standings from 18th to 16th.
Junior Caroline Raglin led the girls placing 45th with a time of 20:30. Next in were the pair of junior Lizzie Naval (20:47) and eight grader Sydney Greer(20:48PR) placing 56th and 57th consecutively. The next Greenwave group to finish was sophomore Libby Hamilton (22:32) in 116th, eighth grader Abby Carnagey (22:33) in 117th and eighth grader Lillian Kriese (22:33) in 118th. Skyler Jorgensen, lone senior, (24:46PR) rounded out the varsity.

Meet Recap

Summerville Boys Cross Country Team finished 3rd at the State Championships November 4, 2017. Victor Shellhammer led the boys with an all-state performance placing 7th in a time of 16:13. Benjamin Eddy finished 11th in a time of 16:23 to garner all-state honors as well. Frasier Byram placed 42nd with a time of 17:06, Daren Lagasca finished 58th with a time of 17:22 and Noah Woodbury finished 59th with a time of 17:23 to round out the scoring. Also running well, Reilly Gobin (17:47) and Coty Lodge (18:03). The heat was the biggest factor of the day. But the Greenwave posted its best finish since 2002.

The Summerville Girls Cross Country had a strong performance at the Lower State Qualfier on October 25 at Wanamaker Park. The Girls placed 4th as a team to qualify on to the State Championship meet. Caroline Raglin led the girls placing 8th with a PR of 20:09. Next in were Lizzie Naval in 17th (20:51) followed closely by Sydney Greer in 18th (20:52PR). Libby Hamilton was the fourth Greenwave girl in 25th with a PR time of 21:46. Hamilton was followed by Lillian Kriese in 30th (21:53PR), Abby Carnagey in 35th (22:25) and Skyler Jorgensen (25:17)

The Summerville Girls Cross Country team placed 5th at the Region Championship held on October 18th at Wanamaker Park. Caroline Raglin led the girls in a 5th place finish with a time of 20:27. Sydney Greer placed 15th with a time of 21:10PR. Both Raglin and Greer earned all-region honors. Rounding our the scoring for the team was Abby Carnagy (22:34), Lillian Kriese (22:46), Libby Hamilton (22:51PR) and Skyler Jorgensen (25:28).

Summerville Boys win Lowerstate State Qualifier. The Greenwave finished first as a team to qualify on to the State Championships. Leading the way was Victor Shellhammer in a PR time of 15:51 placing 3rd overall. Next in for the boys was Ben Eddy placing 6th with a time of 16:39. Following Eddy were Frasier Byram in 12th (17:04 PR), Daren Lagasca in 13th (17:04), Noah Woodbury in 16th (17:15 PR), Reilly Gobin in 19th (17:28PR) and Coty Lodge in 40yh (18:05).
