Summerville Boys won the Boys youth challenge at the 2019 Race for the ARK 5k. Daren Hinds led the boys with an individual first place finish in a time of 16:20. Following in second place was Noah Woodbury with a time of 16:36. Next in for Summerville were Gabe Carnagey in 4th in a time of 17:51, Isaac Cinnamon in 5th with a time of 18:00, Jeremiah Eddy in 6th with a time of 18:07 and Xavier Massara in 7th with a time of 18:22. Also posting good season start times were Jacob Braddock 18:34, Griffin McNeish 20:13, Roman Page 20:29, Andrew Simpson 20:31, Fritz Wimberly 20:37, Mark Wimberly 20:40, Braden Hook 21:03, Will Corson 21:34, TJ Neville 21:40, Evan Hughes 23:00, Hayden Charpia 23:13, Ty Cone 23:23, Chris Sayetta 24:24, Ben Hamilton 24:29, Ryan McSparrow 24:58 and Ward Crosby 26:10.
Girls Varsity Cross Country also placed first in the Girls youth challenge. Leading the way for the Green Wave was Brianna Dooney with a time of 21:03. Following Dooney were Milaya Buchanan with a time of 21:30 and after an early fall involving several other green wave runners was Sydney Greer in a time of 21:54. Next in for the girls were Lillian Kriese 22:56, Eliza Blackwell 23:27, Kayleigh Leonard 24:46, Sophie Sompayrac 25:14, Jaclyn Holt 25:18, Abby Carnagey 29:58, Bridget Camarillo 30:27, Paiton Stevens 31:02, Sadie Vasquez 31:29, Elodie Hamilton 31:54, Blair Bailey 32:01, Lauren Green 32:25 and Hailey Carnagey 32:38.
