Tonight the Green Wave dropped a close match to a very strong Iron Horse team. The boys fought incredibly hard but came up just short in a few tie-breakers that could have clinched the match or at least moved it to 1-doubles. Knowing this didn’t sit well with the boys, but it is something they will remember and let fuel them as they grow. Although we lost, I really feel like this is the strongest we’ve played all year. I saw confidence in our boys, and when we did get down, we were able to focus and turn the momentum around. This helped us stay in our matches and make comebacks against some really great ball strikers.

We had a great crowd at the park again, and feel like Doty Park is becoming about the best home-away-from-home we could ask for. Thanks again to the City of Summerville and tennis enthusiasts that have let us be a small part of their family at Doty Park.

We have one more regular season match coming up this Friday versus a young but talented Lucy Beckham squad. Our first playoff match will be at home versus Dutch Fork on May 4th.
